Bukit Beruntung Golf and Country Resort sits about 45 minutes north of Kuala Lumpur in the township of Bukit Beruntung, a planned residential development that took shape in the 1990s on the undulating terrain of Selangor's interior. The course was designed as the centrepiece of that township, offering resort-style golf on land that rolls more than much of Malaysia's coastal lowland — the "bukit" (hill) in the name is not incidental. Elevation changes give the layout a character that flat, palm-fringed courses in the Klang Valley rarely possess, with fairways that rise, fall, and bend through secondary tropical growth.
The surrounding region is lush and humid year-round, as you'd expect at this latitude, and the course plays through mature vegetation that provides both shade and genuine strategic framing. Afternoon thunderstorms are a near-daily feature from March through October, so morning tee times are the local preference.
For Kuala Lumpur golfers looking to escape the city without committing to a full resort destination, Bukit Beruntung offers a genuine change of scenery — hilly, green, and a touch more demanding than the flatter parkland tracks closer to the capital.
