Few private clubs in Metro Manila carry the social and sporting history that Alabang Country Club does. Founded in the 1970s and set within the affluent Ayala Alabang Village in Muntinlupa, the club has long functioned as a cornerstone of golf and community life in the southern corridor of the metropolis. The layout occupies a relatively compact footprint by championship standards, but its mature tree-lined fairways demand precision rather than power — wayward drives are punished quickly here, and the course rewards members who know its subtleties.
Muntinlupa sits at Metro Manila's southern edge, where the frenetic energy of the city begins to give way to more open, residential landscapes. The Club is part of a larger, planned community that gives it a measured, unhurried atmosphere unusual for a course so close to one of Southeast Asia's busiest urban centers. Acacia and mahogany canopies provide shade and character through much of the round.
As a strictly private members' club, Alabang Country Club cultivates the kind of familiarity and continuity that only years of repeat play can build — a course where regulars accumulate local knowledge hole by hole, and the 19th hole conversation is as valued as the round itself.
