Few resort destinations in Utah combine the Swiss-influenced character of Heber Valley with a golf experience as polished as this one. Midway sits in a broad mountain basin about 45 minutes southeast of Salt Lake City, ringed by the Wasatch Range, and the setting gives the course a distinctly alpine feel — cooler summers, vivid fall color, and mountain backdrops on virtually every hole. The valley itself is famous for its natural hot springs and crater swimming, and the golf here fits that same spirit of unhurried recreation.
The Homestead has been a fixture of Utah resort life for well over a century, and the golf course reflects that tradition of hospitality. A par 71 layout rather than the standard 72 signals some architectural personality — expect at least one par-5 traded for an extra demanding par 4, which tends to reward ball-strikers over grinders.
