Farmington sits in a narrow corridor between the Wasatch Front and the eastern shore of the Great Salt Lake, where the mountains rise sharply enough that nearly any golf course in the area earns its elevation changes the hard way. Davis County's courses occupy some of the more dramatic terrain along the entire Wasatch Range, with views that sweep west across the lake basin and east toward peaks that hold snow well into spring — conditions that can make club selection genuinely tricky in the early and late seasons.
Oakridge Country Club carries the character typical of a longstanding private club in a close-knit Utah community: a membership that knows each other, a course maintained to a standard that rewards regulars who've learned its subtleties, and an atmosphere a few degrees removed from the transactional feel of public resort golf. Private clubs in this part of the valley tend to develop a loyal, multigenerational membership drawn from the surrounding suburbs.
As a par-72 layout, Oakridge almost certainly offers a full range of shot-making demands — the format leaves room for a design that balances length and variety without leaning entirely on one or the other.
