Club de Golf Mirabel

Few courses in the Montreal region carry the architectural pedigree of Club de Golf Mirabel. The course was designed by Graham Cooke, one of Canada's most respected golf architects, and it stands as one of his stronger works in Quebec — a layout that rewards strategic thinking rather than raw power, with routing that moves naturally through the rolling agricultural landscape north of Montreal.

Mirabel itself is a sprawling municipality in the Laurentian lowlands, created in the 1970s when the federal government controversially expropriated farmland for what was meant to become one of the world's great international airports. That airport largely failed to materialize as planned, and the land took on new lives — golf among them. There's a quiet, open quality to the terrain here, with wide skies and views toward the Laurentian foothills that give the course a sense of space rarely found closer to the city.
