Eureka sits in the far northwest corner of Montana, just a few miles from the Canadian border, where the Tobacco Valley opens up between the Whitefish Range and the Cabinet Mountains. This is big-sky ranch country with a genuinely different feel from the resort corridors farther south — quieter, less trafficked, and rooted in the rhythms of a working agricultural landscape. The Koocanusa Reservoir and the Tobacco River define the region, and the surrounding forests and wetlands give the area a character that feels more like British Columbia than Billings.
A par-71 layout at this latitude and elevation plays differently across the season. Summers are warm but short, the air is clear, and the ball tends to fly well. Expect a course that reflects its ranch setting — open in places, with natural terrain doing most of the design work, and views that extend well beyond the property lines.
Indian Springs Ranch reads as the kind of place where local golfers return week after week and visitors discover by accident — a community course that earns its loyalty through atmosphere and honest challenge rather than spectacle.
