Few golf settings in Mexico carry the cinematic weight of Las Hadas. The course sits within the Las Hadas resort complex, the fantastical Moorish-influenced enclave built by Bolivian tin magnate Antenor Patiño in the early 1970s on the Santiago Peninsula. The resort became an international sensation — and the backdrop for the 1979 film "10" starring Bo Derek — cementing Manzanillo's reputation as a playground for the jet set long before Los Cabos dominated that conversation.

The layout occupies a dramatic slice of the Pacific coast of Colima, where the Sierra Madre foothills meet the water. Holes wind through tropical vegetation with views across the Bahía de Santiago, and the warm, humid air and salt-tinged breeze are as much a part of playing the course as any fairway or green.
