McGregor Links Country Club carries one of the more storied names in Adirondack-region golf. The club dates to the early 20th century and sits in Wilton, a town in Saratoga County just south of the famous resort city of Saratoga Springs — a place synonymous with thoroughbred racing, mineral springs, and a long tradition of summer leisure that made private country clubs a natural fixture of the landscape. McGregor Links has been part of that social and sporting fabric for generations.
The course plays through gently rolling terrain typical of the region, where the foothills of the Adirondacks begin their gradual rise and mature hardwoods define the character of the land through all four seasons. Summers here are warm and green, autumns are genuinely spectacular, and the club retains the feel of a traditional members' retreat rather than a destination resort.
As a private club, McGregor Links rewards those with a connection to the membership — expect a course that values tradition, course conditioning, and the kind of unhurried round that has defined upstate New York golf for well over a century.
