Dorst sits at the forested heart of North Brabant, where the Mastbos woodland and the broader Brabantse Wallen landscape give this corner of the southern Netherlands a character quite unlike the flat, wind-scoured links country most people associate with Dutch golf. Brabant Golf occupies that same heathland and pine-belt terrain — sandy soil underfoot, mature trees lining the corridors, and a quiet, unhurried atmosphere that feels removed from the nearby urban pull of Breda, just a few kilometres to the west.
The course plays across gently rolling ground that is genuinely unusual for the Netherlands, giving it a more inland-European feel than many of the country's flatter layouts. Heather, sand, and native rough frame the holes and reward accurate positioning off the tee, while the tree-lined fairways demand a shaped ball flight more than raw length.
As a members-oriented club in a region with a strong and growing golf culture, Brabant Golf offers visiting golfers a solid test in a genuinely attractive natural setting — one that earns its place among the better heathland experiences in the Benelux.
