Golfpark Mieminger Plateau

The Mieminger Plateau sits on a broad elevated terrace above the Inn Valley in Tyrol, one of the most scenically dramatic settings in Austrian alpine golf. The plateau itself is a geological curiosity — a wide, relatively flat bench of land at roughly 800 meters above sea level, surrounded by the jagged limestone peaks of the Zugspitze massif to the north and the Mieminger chain to the south. That unusual topography gives the course something rare in mountain golf: generous, open fairways rather than the tight, hillside corridors typical of alpine layouts.

The course plays through a landscape of meadows and light woodland characteristic of this part of Tyrol, with the mountain panorama providing a near-constant backdrop. The village of Mieming is a quiet, well-kept community that draws visitors for both summer and winter recreation, and the golf club fits comfortably into that unhurried, outdoor-oriented culture.

For travelling golfers, the plateau is easily reached from Innsbruck, roughly 30 kilometers to the east, making it a natural pairing with the other well-regarded courses clustered along the Inn Valley corridor.
