충주호파크골프장 sits along the shores of Lake Chungju (충주호), the vast reservoir created when the Chungju Dam was completed in 1985. That dam, the largest rock-fill dam in South Korea, flooded the South Han River valley and formed one of the country's most dramatic inland waterscapes — a 97.5 square kilometer expanse of blue water framed by the limestone ridges of Woraksan National Park.
