Yeosu sits on one of the most dramatic coastlines in South Korea — a city of islands, bridges, and sea mist that gained international attention after hosting the 2012 World Expo. Jeollanam-do's southern tip is warm by Korean standards, with mild winters and lush vegetation that keeps courses green well into the season. It's a region better known for its seafood and scenic harbors than for golf, which means courses here tend to serve a regional membership and resort clientele rather than traveling golf tourists in the way that Jeju Island does.
Yeosu City Park Resort sits within that resort context, offering visitors an elevated reason to extend a stay in one of Korea's most scenic coastal cities. The course occupies hilly terrain typical of this part of Jeolla province, where fairways tend to work through or over forested ridgelines, rewarding players who can manage elevation changes and uneven lies as much as raw distance.
As a resort property, the experience here leans toward the leisure end of the spectrum — a round that complements the broader destination rather than demanding it. Views of the surrounding hills and, potentially, glimpses toward the sea define the atmosphere more than any single hole's architecture.
