Few corners of Japan offer a golf backdrop quite like the Itoshima Peninsula, where the East China Sea frames the western horizon and the Sefuri Mountains rise to the east. Queen's Hill Golf Club occupies this coastal-highland zone outside Fukuoka City, a layout that takes full advantage of the rolling terrain and sea breezes that define the region's character. Itoshima has become one of Kyushu's most sought-after destinations in recent years, drawing visitors for its scenery, food culture, and easy access from Fukuoka — and golf here shares in that appeal.
The course itself plays through a mix of open, wind-exposed stretches and more sheltered, tree-lined corridors, meaning conditions can shift dramatically from hole to hole depending on what the sea is sending inland that day. That variability rewards course management over raw power.
Itoshima's mild climate keeps the course playable for much of the year, and its proximity to central Fukuoka — one of Kyushu's most vibrant cities — makes Queen's Hill a natural choice for a well-rounded day out on Kyushu's northwestern coast.
