Stoneleigh Golf & Country Club sits in the rolling piedmont of Loudoun County, one of Virginia's most storied stretches of countryside. Round Hill lies at the foot of the Blue Ridge, where horse farms and stone-walled pastures define the landscape — terrain that lends itself naturally to a routing with real elevation change, open fairways, and the kind of sky you don't get closer to Washington, D.C.
Designed by Tom Clark and opened in 1994, Stoneleigh is a private club that has built a loyal following among serious golfers in the Northern Virginia corridor. Clark routed the course across terrain that rewards local knowledge — players who understand how the mountain winds behave and where the slopes funnel errant shots will score better than those who simply overpower it. The layout has earned consistent respect in Virginia golf rankings and carries a reputation for firm, fast conditions maintained to a high standard.
For members and their guests, the draw is as much the setting as the challenge — Blue Ridge views, a genuine sense of remove from the suburbs, and a club culture that still feels rooted in the land around it.
