Pacific Harbour Golf and Country Club sits on Bribie Island, the northernmost of Southeast Queensland's Moreton Bay islands — and unlike its neighbors, it's the only one connected to the mainland by bridge. That accessibility hasn't diminished its sense of escape. The island's low-lying coastal terrain, paperback tea-trees, and tidal wetlands give the course a distinctly Queensland feel: flat, open in places, yet threaded through natural bushland that demands accuracy off the tee.
As a country club layout on an island community, Pacific Harbour serves a mix of dedicated local members and visitors making the short drive north from Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast. The relaxed, unhurried atmosphere typical of regional Queensland golf is very much part of the appeal here — this is a course where the surroundings do a lot of the talking.
Bribie Island itself is known for its beaches, birdlife, and the calm waters of Pumicestone Passage. Players who keep their head up between shots are likely to encounter both the wildlife and the coastal light that makes this corner of Moreton Bay worth the trip.
