Jerez de la Frontera sits at the heart of Andalusia's sherry triangle, a city whose identity is inseparable from wine, flamenco, and horsemanship — and Sherry Golf Jerez draws directly on that sense of place. The course occupies terrain typical of the Cádiz interior: rolling, sun-baked land dotted with cork oaks and stone pines, where the light has a particular intensity and the air carries a dryness that firms up fairways and rewards the running game.
The layout suits the climate well, offering wide corridors off the tee that open into more demanding approaches, where accuracy into undulating greens becomes the real test. The parkland character softens what could otherwise be punishing conditions, and the course holds up through the long Andalusian summer better than many in the region.
Jerez is not a high-profile tournament venue in the way of nearby Valderrama or Sotogrande, but it serves as a genuine local golfing hub for the Cádiz province — a proper 18-hole facility where residents and visitors alike play serious golf away from the Costa del Sol crowds.
