The area is internationally recognized for its New Year woodblock prints, a craft tradition stretching back to the Song Dynasty, and that sense of deep cultural rootedness carries into the surrounding landscape: flat, open, riverine terrain shaped by the Hai River basin and the interplay of water and agricultural land that defines this part of the North China Plain.

Tianjin itself has a substantial golf culture relative to many Chinese cities, partly owing to its proximity to Beijing and its long history as a cosmopolitan port and trading hub. Courses in this corridor tend to serve a mix of local business golfers and weekenders from the capital, making for a lively, practical playing atmosphere rather than a purely resort-oriented one.

The flat topography here means the design relies on water features, bunkering, and strategic routing to create variety and challenge, which is characteristic of golf development across the greater Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei corridor.
