Daniels sits in the New River Gorge region of southern West Virginia, a landscape defined by dense hardwood ridges, dramatic elevation changes, and the kind of rugged Appalachian terrain that makes for memorable golf whether you're ready for it or not. The Cobb Course is part of the Glade Springs Resort complex, one of the larger golf and hospitality destinations in the state, drawing visitors from across the mid-Atlantic and Southeast.
Southern West Virginia isn't a place most golfers think of first, but the mountains have a way of commanding attention once you're out on the course. Elevation shifts affect both club selection and sightlines throughout the round, and the tree-lined corridors typical of Appalachian layouts reward accuracy off the tee more than raw distance.
As a resort course, the Cobb plays host to a broad mix of golfers — weekend retreaters, corporate outings, and regional visitors using Glade Springs as a base for the area's outdoor offerings. The New River Gorge National Park sits nearby, giving the whole destination a sense of place that extends well beyond the 18th green.
