Tortugas Country Club is one of the most storied private clubs in Argentine golf, located in Tortuguitas, a quiet residential community roughly 30 kilometers north of Buenos Aires in the province of Buenos Aires. The club has long been a cornerstone of the country's elite golf scene, and its course carries the kind of quiet prestige that comes from decades of serious member competition and a well-maintained tradition of the game at a high level.
The surrounding terrain is characteristic of the Argentine Pampas — broad, open grassland softened by mature trees and the kind of expansive sky that gives the course a sense of unhurried scale. This is parkland golf rooted in the landscape of the northern GBA suburbs, where several of Argentina's finest private clubs have taken root alongside polo grounds and country estates.
As a full 18-hole members' club, Tortugas plays to a proper championship layout and draws a membership that takes the game seriously. Visitors are unlikely without a member's invitation, which only adds to the club's reputation as one of the defining addresses in Buenos Aires golf.
