Horseshoe Valley sits in Oro-Medonte Township, part of Simcoe County in Ontario's lake country north of Barrie — a region where the Canadian Shield begins to reassert itself through the soil and the terrain starts to roll with genuine purpose. The area is better known for skiing in winter, and the same glacially shaped ridges and valleys that draw snowsports crowds give this course its topographical personality.
