Panama Oeste province sits along the Pacific lowlands west of Panama City, where the Pan-American Highway threads through coastal plain and foothills before the landscape opens toward the Gulf of Panama. Chame, a small municipality in this corridor, is part of a stretch that has grown steadily as a weekend and residential escape for the capital's population — beach communities, gated developments, and recreational facilities dot the area, taking advantage of the relatively dry Pacific-facing climate compared to the country's Atlantic side.
Coronado Golf is the centerpiece of the Coronado Hotel & Resort complex, one of the longest-established resort destinations in Panama and a genuine institution for the country's golfing community. The course occupies flat to gently rolling terrain and plays in an open, tropical-resort style — broad fairways framed by palm trees and residential homes, with the kind of layout that rewards straight ball-striking over length and suits the membership and resort clientele who make up its regular traffic.
For visiting golfers, the appeal is practical and atmospheric in equal measure: a chance to play a properly maintained, full-length layout just an hour from Panama City, with Pacific breezes and the easy hospitality of an established resort behind it.
