Henry Stambaugh Golf Course

Few public golf facilities in the region carry the kind of civic weight that Henry Stambaugh does. The course is named for Henry H. Stambaugh, a prominent Youngstown businessman and philanthropist whose early 20th-century generosity shaped much of the city's cultural and recreational landscape — his family's legacy also lives on in Stambaugh Auditorium, one of northeastern Ohio's most beloved concert halls. That connection to the city's industrial-era prosperity gives the course a sense of place that goes well beyond 18 holes of municipal golf.
