Club Náutico Hacoaj sits in Tigre, the delta city about 30 kilometers north of Buenos Aires where the Paraná river system fans out into a labyrinth of waterways, islands, and lush subtropical vegetation. Tigre has long been a weekend retreat for porteños, its riverine landscape giving private clubs here a character unlike anything found on the pampas proper — water is never far away, and the air carries the particular humidity of a working delta.
Hacoaj is one of Argentina's storied Jewish community clubs, founded in the early 20th century as a social and sporting hub. These grandes asociaciones — part country club, part cultural institution — have a deep tradition in Argentine life, and Hacoaj's golf course is part of a broader campus that has always been as much about community as competition.
The par-73 layout is worth noting as a design choice: that extra stroke typically signals a 5th par-5, giving the course a more generous, freewheeling feel than a conventional par-72. Expect a layout where the delta's flat terrain shapes strategy more than elevation ever could.
