Riverdale Golf Club sits along the Rangsit Canal corridor north of Bangkok, in Pathum Thani province — a stretch of central Thailand that was once dense paddy land and is now one of the capital's busiest suburban spillways. The course opened in the 1990s during Thailand's golf construction boom and was designed to bring genuine challenge to the flat alluvial terrain, leaning heavily on water features, sculpted mounding, and mature tropical plantings to create definition where the land itself offers little natural drama. Wide fairways give way to tightly bunkered approaches, and the canal system threading through the property means errant shots carry real consequences.
Pathum Thani sits roughly 30 kilometers north of central Bangkok, close enough to draw a regular weekday crowd of city-based golfers making an early morning escape. The tropical climate means lush, fast-growing turf year-round, though the hot season from March through May tests stamina as much as technique.
For Bangkok-area golfers, Riverdale offers a reliable test in a region saturated with options — a well-maintained layout that rewards patience and straight ball-striking over length.
