Few private clubs in Florida carry the quiet prestige of Lost Tree Club. Designed by Dick Wilson and opened in 1962, it occupies a barrier island in North Palm Beach where the Intracoastal Waterway frames much of the property — water, palms, and sky defining nearly every sightline. Wilson, one of the most respected architects of his era, shaped a course that rewards strategic thinking over raw power, with bunkering that demands honest shot-making and greens that have humbled very good players for decades.
Lost Tree is the kind of membership that keeps a low profile by choice. The club sits within a gated residential community of the same name, and its culture has always been defined by discretion rather than tournament fanfare. That exclusivity has only deepened its reputation among those who follow private club golf seriously.
North Palm Beach occupies the northern edge of Palm Beach County's storied golf corridor, where the climate is benign for most of the year and the winter season draws serious players from across the country. Lost Tree is considered among the finest of the many exceptional private clubs that define this stretch of the Florida coast.
