The Tanjong

Few golf experiences in Singapore carry the prestige of The Tanjong course at Sentosa Golf Club, long considered one of Asia's finest layouts. Designed by Ronald Fream and opened in 1993, it occupies the southwestern tip of Sentosa Island with sweeping views across the Singapore Strait toward Indonesia and the South China Sea. The Tanjong has hosted the Barclays Singapore Open and other Asian Tour events, cementing its status as a legitimate championship venue. Its rolling terrain is unusual for Singapore, where flat land dominates, and the combination of elevation changes, Bermuda fairways, and tiered greens creates a genuine test of ball-striking.

Sentosa itself has transformed into a resort destination since the course opened, but The Tanjong retains a sense of remove from the island's busier attractions — the moment you step onto the first tee, it still feels like golf is the only thing that matters here.
