Few golf clubs in central Mexico carry the institutional weight of Club Campestre de Querétaro, one of the oldest and most established private country clubs in the Bajío region. Founded in the mid-20th century, the club has long served as the social and sporting anchor for Querétaro's upper professional class, offering a full country-club experience — golf, tennis, social events — that reflects the city's growing sophistication and economic clout.
The course itself plays through mature tree-lined corridors that reward accuracy over raw power. At altitude — Querétaro sits at roughly 1,820 meters above sea level — the ball carries noticeably farther than at sea level, which subtly reshapes how you approach distances and club selection. The layout has a classic, measured character: fairways framed by established trees, greens that demand thoughtful approach play, and an overall feel of a course that has been refined over decades of active membership use.
Querétaro itself is one of Mexico's most livable and historically rich cities — a UNESCO World Heritage colonial center, a booming industrial corridor, and a genuinely proud regional identity. The Campestre reflects all of that: serious about its traditions, well-maintained, and oriented toward members who treat the game as a long-term pursuit rather than a casual pastime.
