Tunica National Golf Course sits in the Mississippi Delta flatlands, part of the casino resort corridor that transformed this corner of northwest Mississippi starting in the 1990s. Robinsonville sits just south of Memphis, and for a stretch Tunica County became one of the busiest gaming destinations in the country — the golf courses that grew up alongside the casinos were very much part of that hospitality boom, designed to give resort visitors something to do beyond the casino floor.
The Delta landscape is its own thing: wide open, low, and agricultural, with the Mississippi River not far to the west. Golf courses built here tend to work with that flatness rather than fight it, relying on water features, bunkering, and green complexes to create challenge and visual interest across terrain that doesn't naturally offer elevation change.
As a resort-anchored public layout, Tunica National plays to a broad range of visitors — weekend getaway golfers, casino guests looking for a full day out, and Memphis-area regulars who make the short drive south for an accessible, well-maintained round.
