Tekoa Country Club has been a cornerstone of western Massachusetts golf for generations, a private members' club occupying the rolling terrain of the Pioneer Valley just east of the Berkshires. The course sits in Westfield, a small industrial city along the Westfield River, where the landscape transitions from the flat Connecticut River lowlands into the gentle foothills that eventually climb toward the Berkshire plateau. That geography gives Tekoa its character — turf that moves underfoot, elevation changes that demand shot-making decisions, and a setting that changes with each season in ways that keep members engaged year after year.
As a private club, Tekoa operates on the rhythms that define New England golf at its most traditional: a tight-knit membership, a course that rewards familiarity, and the kind of institutional memory that only comes from decades of same-group Saturdays and club championships.
The Pioneer Valley supports a surprisingly robust regional golf scene, and Tekoa occupies a respected place within it — a proper members' course where belonging matters as much as the back nine.
