Grange Golf Club

Few clubs in Australian golf carry the historical weight of Grange Golf Club. Founded in 1928, the club operates two 18-hole layouts — the East and West courses — both routed through the sandy, tree-lined terrain of Melbourne's western suburbs. The courses were shaped by the same glacial sand belt geology that defines the wider Sandbelt region, though Grange sits slightly removed from the famous corridor running through Moorabbin and Cheltenham. That sandy base rewards firm, running golf and allows the courses to drain exceptionally well year-round.

The club has long maintained a strong competitive reputation within Victoria, regularly hosting pennant competitions and state-level events. The East Course is generally regarded as the more demanding of the two, but both layouts reward strategic thinking over brute force, with bunkering and subtle ground contours doing much of the work that length alone cannot.
