Greenfield Plantation is a residential golf community on the eastern fringe of Bradenton, where the flat Manatee County terrain opens up into the kind of wide, sun-baked landscape that defines inland Southwest Florida. The course plays through and around a planned neighborhood, which is a common template in this part of the state — fairways bordered by homes, mature palms, and the occasional pond that doubles as both drainage and hazard. The "Links" in the name signals an aspiration toward open, wind-influenced play, though true links conditions are rare this far from the Gulf.
Bradenton sits between Tampa Bay and Sarasota, putting it within easy reach of some of Florida's stronger resort and semi-private options, but Greenfield Plantation serves a different purpose — this is everyday golf for residents and locals, a walkable (by cart) layout designed to be played regularly rather than pilgrimaged to.
Manatee County's golf season runs essentially year-round, with winter the peak window when snowbirds swell the tee sheets. Afternoon thunderstorms are a near-daily reality in summer, so morning rounds are the standard move from June through September.
