Dykeman Park has been a fixture of Logansport's public recreation landscape for decades, one of those honest municipal courses that serves a community rather than chasing a destination audience. Named for the city park in which it sits, the course occupies green space along the Eel River corridor in north-central Indiana — flat, open Midwest terrain that keeps rounds moving and keeps the game accessible to players of every level.
Logansport sits at the confluence of the Eel and Wabash rivers, a former canal town whose park system reflects the civic pride of an earlier era. Dykeman itself carries that spirit — a place where junior golfers learn the game, where regulars keep their own unofficial handicaps, and where a round costs a fraction of what you'd pay at a resort track. The layout plays to a par 70, which tends to mean shorter par 4s and a limited set of par 5s, rewarding ball-strikers who can score on tighter holes.
If you're passing through the Cass County area or simply want an unpretentious round on genuine public ground, Dykeman delivers exactly what a municipal should: open tee times, walkable terrain, and golf stripped of any pretension.
