Clark Freeport Zone sits on the former grounds of a massive U.S. Air Force base north of Manila, and that unusual origin shapes everything about visiting it — including a round at ClearWater Resort and Country Club. The course occupies a landscape still defined by the sprawl of old military infrastructure, now transformed into one of the Philippines' more ambitious leisure and commercial developments. Wide fairways move through terrain that retains the flat, open character of the Pampanga plain, though mature trees planted across the base's long history give the property genuine shade and visual depth.
ClearWater is a resort-style layout catering to the mix of local members, Subic-Clark corridor business travelers, and leisure visitors that the Freeport Zone attracts. The conditioning and facilities are pitched at a level appropriate to that resort clientele, and the clubhouse amenities — pool, hotel accommodations, function spaces — make it a full-day destination rather than a simple round-and-go stop.
Clark sits roughly 80 kilometers north of Manila, and the area's golf scene has grown steadily around the Freeport's development. The humidity and heat of lowland Luzon are constants here, so early morning tee times reward both comfort and the best course conditions of the day.
