Mansa Golf Club sits in Luapula Province, one of Zambia's more remote and least-visited regions, where the town of Mansa serves as the provincial capital on the edge of the Congo-Zambezi watershed. This is deep central African bush country — flat to gently rolling terrain, seasonal rains that arrive with force between November and April, and a landscape of miombo woodland, tall grasses, and termite mounds that give the surrounding area its particular character. Golf here exists well outside the tourist circuit, rooted instead in a local community tradition that traces back through Zambia's post-colonial club culture.
