Garibaldi Highlands sits at the base of the Coast Mountains, just north of Squamish on the Sea-to-Sky corridor — one of the most dramatic stretches of landscape in British Columbia. The area is defined by glacier-carved peaks, old-growth forest, and the kind of elevation and moisture that shapes everything around it, including how turf grows and how a round of golf actually feels. Any course here is playing on scenery that most of the world's resort destinations would struggle to match.
The Highlands community was developed largely in tandem with the golf resort, giving the property a planned, residential character common to mountain-adjacent developments along the Sea-to-Sky. Whether the layout leans into the natural terrain or takes a more manicured resort approach, the surroundings do much of the heavy lifting — rounds here tend to be as much about where you are as how you score.
Squamish itself has transformed in recent years from a resource town into an outdoor recreation hub, drawing climbers, mountain bikers, and trail runners. Golfers passing through on the way to or from Whistler will find this a logical and scenically rewarding stop on the corridor.
