Few alpine golf experiences match the setting of Golfclub Zillertal Uderns, which sits in the heart of Austria's Zillertal — one of the most dramatically beautiful valleys in the Tyrol. The course plays against a backdrop of glacier-capped peaks, with the valley's famous mountain light shifting throughout the day. Laid out on relatively flat valley floor terrain, it offers a rare chance in this part of Austria to walk a full round without the steep gradients that challenge many mountain courses.
The Zillertal itself is widely known as a year-round destination — famous in winter for its ski resorts and in summer as a hiking, cycling, and outdoor sports hub. Golf fits naturally into the summer calendar here, and the club draws both Austrian regulars and visiting tourists who are already in the valley for the scenery. The short alpine season sharpens everything: the turf tends to be lush and well-maintained during the playing months.
Uderns is a small, quiet village near Fügen in the lower Zillertal, easily reached from Innsbruck. The club carries the relaxed, welcoming character typical of Austrian regional golf — more about the pleasure of the round and the surroundings than competitive prestige.
