Few courses in the Texas Hill Country carry a reputation quite like Rebecca Creek's. Opened in 2009 and designed by Jeff Brauer, the layout occupies a stretch of rugged limestone terrain northwest of San Antonio, where cedar and live oak frame nearly every shot and elevation changes keep the round constantly interesting. Brauer coaxed a course out of land that demanded respect rather than reshaping, and the result feels genuinely rooted in its surroundings — dramatic without being theatrical.
Spring Branch sits in the heart of the Guadalupe River corridor, a region better known for its cypress-lined swimming holes and ranching heritage than for golf. That remoteness is part of the appeal. Rebecca Creek plays as a semi-private facility, offering memberships alongside public access, which gives it a club atmosphere that most daily-fee layouts in the area can't match.
The course has earned consistent recognition among Texas's top public-access layouts, and the Hill Country setting rewards players who manage the terrain and resist the temptation to overpower it. Shotmaking matters here more than raw distance.
