Ansley Golf Club's Settindown Creek course occupies a stretch of rolling north Georgia terrain in Roswell, one of Atlanta's more historically rich suburbs sitting along the Chattahoochee River corridor. The club takes its name from the Settindown Creek that winds through the property, giving the layout a natural rhythm of elevation change and water carries that defines how the round unfolds. This is private members' golf in the truest Atlanta-area tradition — a place built around community and competition rather than resort spectacle.
The north Georgia piedmont landscape does real work here. Hardwoods and Georgia pines frame fairways that move with the land rather than against it, and the creek makes its presence felt on multiple holes, demanding genuine course management rather than simple power.
Ansley Golf Club itself is a well-regarded name in the Atlanta golf community, with a membership culture that takes its competition seriously. Settindown serves as the club's full-length, par-72 complement to that identity — a course where local knowledge and shot-making matter more than raw distance off the tee.
