Few golf settings in Central Europe carry as much architectural weight as Klessheim. The course occupies the grounds of the Klessheim Palace estate on the northwestern edge of Salzburg, a baroque complex originally built for the Prince-Archbishops of Salzburg in the early 18th century. The layout is a classic parkland design, shaped by the estate's existing geometry and tree-lined corridors. The grounds have historically been associated with privilege — the Klessheim estate served as a VIP guesthouse during World War II — and the club retains a distinctly private, members-oriented atmosphere.
