Golf Santa Ponça II

Golf Santa Ponça II occupies the hills above the resort coast of Calvià, on the southwest corner of Mallorca where the Serra de Tramuntana foothills begin their descent toward the Mediterranean. It is the second of 3 courses at the Santa Ponça complex — alongside the original Santa Ponça I and the shorter Santa Ponça III — a development that helped establish this corner of the island as one of Spain's most concentrated golf destinations through the 1980s and 1990s. The II course plays through more rugged, elevated terrain than its neighbor, with pine-framed fairways and the kind of dramatic Mallorcan landscape that makes the golf feel genuinely removed from the resort bustle below.

The Calvià municipality draws a significant international golfing crowd, particularly from northern Europe, and the Santa Ponça complex has long been a reliable winter-sun destination for those escaping British and German winters. The combination of reliable mild weather from October through April and well-maintained facilities makes it a natural anchor for golf tourism on the island.

The course demands real course management across its length, with elevation changes adding both visual drama and tactical complexity that the flat resort layouts elsewhere on the coast simply cannot offer. It is a step up in challenge and scenery from Santa Ponça III, while offering a somewhat different character to the more established I course.
