St George's Hill Golf Club in Weybridge is one of England's most celebrated private members' clubs, and the Red/Blue combination represents 18 holes drawn from its 3 distinct loops — Red, Blue, and Green — that together make up 27 holes across this remarkable Surrey heathland. Harry Colt designed the original layout in 1913, weaving fairways through a landscape of towering Scots pines, silver birch, and heather that defines the golden age of British inland golf. The club's reputation sits among the very top tier of Surrey's exceptional concentration of heathland courses.
The Red/Blue pairing plays to a par 70, which on paper might suggest something modest — but Colt's routing extracts every ounce of challenge from the sandy, undulating ground. Steep slopes, well-bunkered greens, and the constant visual drama of the trees demand precision over power and reward thoughtful course management.
Weybridge itself sits in the affluent Surrey commuter belt southwest of London, and St George's Hill — the private residential estate that surrounds the club — gives the whole experience a distinctive, almost secluded grandeur that feels a world away from the city.
