Ōtaki Golf Club

Ōtaki Golf Club sits on the Kāpiti Coast, that long stretch of western shoreline running north of Wellington where the Tararua Range rises steeply to the east and the Tasman Sea defines the western horizon. The town of Ōtaki itself carries deep Māori heritage — it's home to Rangiātea Church, one of the most significant wharenui sites in New Zealand — and the golf club reflects the quiet, community-anchored character of a small coastal town that has largely resisted the suburban spread pushing up from Wellington.

The course plays through relatively flat, open terrain typical of the coastal lowlands, with the prevailing winds off the Tasman a constant and honest test of shot-making.
