Le Swin Golf

The Lac du Der-Chantecoq reservoir dominates this corner of the Marne, and Le Swin Golf sits directly within that lakeside landscape — one of the more unusual settings you'll find on the French golf map. The course occupies the grounds around the vast artificial lake created in the 1970s to regulate the Seine and Marne rivers, an area now better known for hosting one of Europe's largest migratory bird sanctuaries. That ecological backdrop gives the layout a distinctly open, windswept character, with wide skies and water views that can make club selection genuinely unpredictable depending on the season.

Arrigny is a small village in the Grand Est region, roughly midway between Châlons-en-Champagne and Saint-Dizier, well off the main tourist circuits. The surrounding Champagne Humide — the wetter, more forested eastern Champagne — is quieter farming country, far removed from the grand vineyard estates to the west.
