Bletchingley Golf Club sits in the Surrey Hills fringe south of London, in the village of Nutfield — an area where the North Downs roll gently through farmland and ancient sandstone ridges. This part of Surrey has long been fertile ground for golf, with the county home to some of England's most respected heathland and downland layouts, and the local terrain naturally lends itself to courses with genuine variety and movement.
The club occupies a setting typical of mid-Surrey countryside: open skies over undulating ground, with views across the Weald that reward you between shots as much as the golf itself. At par 72 over 18 holes, the course presents a full test without leaning on artifice — the land does most of the work.
As a members' club serving the communities around Redhill and Reigate, Bletchingley represents the reliable backbone of English club golf: a proper round in honest countryside, run for people who take their golf seriously without taking themselves too seriously.
