Mollerup Golf Club occupies a genuinely special piece of Danish ground. The course is laid out across the Marselisborg forests on the northern outskirts of Aarhus, where centuries-old beech and oak woodland frames nearly every hole. This is some of the most distinctive terrain in Danish golf — rolling, forested land that feels nothing like the coastal links you find elsewhere in Denmark, and the mature tree cover gives Mollerup a sheltered, almost parkland intimacy that changes with every season.
The club has deep roots in the Aarhus golf community and is one of the older established clubs in Jutland, carrying the kind of quiet prestige that comes from genuine history rather than marketing. The course plays through natural clearings in the forest, demanding accurate ball-striking more than raw distance — wayward shots here get punished by timber, not rough.
Risskov itself sits just north of Aarhus city center, Denmark's second-largest city and a place with a serious cultural and culinary identity. For visiting golfers, Mollerup offers a rare combination: urban convenience paired with a woodland course that genuinely transports you somewhere else the moment you step onto the first tee.
