Few corners of Spain reward a golf trip quite like the Alt Empordà, the broad coastal plain that stretches between the Pyrenean foothills and the Cap de Creus peninsula in Catalonia's far northeast. Peralada Golf Club sits within this privileged territory, attached to the Peralada resort complex — a destination anchored by a medieval castle, a casino, and a celebrated winery that produces wine under the same estate name. The course was designed by Ramón Espinosa, one of Spain's most prolific architects, and opened in the 1990s as part of the region's expansion into upscale golf tourism.
