Redmond sits at the eastern edge of the greater Seattle metro, where the Cascade foothills begin to assert themselves and the Pacific Northwest's signature mix of tall conifers, rolling terrain, and persistent overcast sets the tone for outdoor life. Golf in this part of Washington tends to mean lush, green-playing conditions through much of the year, with soft fairways and receptive greens that reward target golf — though the trade-off is occasional rain and the kind of low clouds that make the tree canopy feel even more present.
Coyote Creek fits the profile of a Pacific Northwest parkland course, where mature Douglas firs and cedars frame holes tightly enough that driving accuracy earns more than raw distance. This region's layout philosophy often leans on natural elevation change and water features to generate challenge, and courses in the Redmond corridor benefit from genuinely attractive settings without requiring a destination resort price tag.
Redmond is better known internationally as Microsoft's home base than as a golf destination, but the local golf community is active and the surrounding Eastside suburbs support a healthy mix of public and semi-private options. Coyote Creek adds an 18-hole, par-72 option to that mix for players who want a full round in a wooded, distinctly Northwestern setting.
