Dolsando Course sits on Dolsando Island, the large island connected to the city of Yeosu by bridge in South Korea's South Jeolla Province. Yeosu is one of the country's most scenic coastal cities, a place of island-studded sea, fishing harbors, and rocky shoreline that gained international attention as host of the 2012 World Expo. Golf here means playing with the southern sea as a near-constant presence — the light shifts off the water, sea breezes complicate club selection, and the surrounding landscape feels distinctly different from the manicured mountain courses more typical of Korean golf.
Dolsando's terrain reflects the island's rugged, hilly character. Expect elevation changes and coastal exposure that make course management as important as raw distance. The natural setting does much of the design work, with ocean views framing holes in a way no inland course can replicate.
For visiting golfers, this is a genuine destination round — the kind where the journey to the first tee, crossing the bridge with the Hallyeohaesang National Marine Park spread around you, is itself part of the experience.
