Parsons sits in Tucker County, deep in the Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia, where the Blackwater River cuts through rugged, heavily forested terrain. This is a part of the state better known for whitewater paddling, skiing at Canaan Valley, and the otherworldly bogs of Dolly Sods than for golf — which makes finding a full 18-hole course here something of a genuine surprise.
