Suzhou has long occupied a singular place in Chinese culture — famously called the "Venice of the East" for its classical gardens and ancient canal networks, and now one of the most economically dynamic cities in the Yangtze River Delta. Golf arrived here as the region modernized rapidly through the 1990s and 2000s, and the courses that emerged reflect that era's ambition: sculpted, manicured, and built to impress a rising business and leisure class.
城仕高尔夫 (Chengshi Golf) operates within that context — a course oriented toward the city's professional and corporate community, where the game functions as much as a social and business arena as a sporting one. Suzhou's flat, water-rich topography shapes the land here, and the area's warm, humid summers and mild winters allow for a reasonably long playing season, though summer heat and humidity demand an early tee time.
For visitors, Suzhou pairs a round of golf with one of China's most rewarding city experiences — the classical gardens of Zhuozheng Yuan and Liuyuan, the old silk trade quarter, and some of the finest regional cuisine in Jiangsu province.
